I suppose this list could be seen as an off-shoot of my Neighborhoods list – the types of historical sites to check out around the city. Or vice versa, neighborhoods to explore while I’m off on history-based adventures. Either way, I’m a sucker for a good story from the past, and Chicago has plenty of those.
