In what’s become my most treasured holiday tradition (and I have quite a few!), I’m back again with my annual Holidays playlist, a selection of songs that I’ve been enjoying this season and I hope you will, too.
Each year, I go into building this playlist without quite knowing how (or if) it will come together. But without fail, I’m always able to find more than enough wonderful tracks—new and classic, silly and moving—to create what I hope you’ll agree is a joyful, festive compilation. This year, I found so many to include that the playlist runs longer than ever, nearly 90 minutes!
Highlights in the 2023 playlist include a disco track from Cher (who has never put out a Christmas album until now?!), a classic from Alanis Morissette, and, in what I think reflects the year I’ve had, more than a few songs about being in love at Christmastime. As always, I recommend listening to the playlist in track order at least once; I’ve arranged them to be a journey I think you’ll like to go on. But of course, enjoy the music however you like!
I’ve been creating playlists for over a decade now; you can listen to each year’s individually (2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012), or check out the Christmas Supercut Playlist that compiles them all. Merry Christmas!
